The songs in this category have covers which portray celebrities of the stage and screen, beginning in the first and second decades of the 20th century with such popular figures as Billie Burke, Pearl White and Mary Pickford. Among the stars represented in the 1920s and 1930s are Al Jolson, Eddie Cantor and Rudy Vallee; in the 1930s and 1940s are Alice Fay, Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire, Ruby Keeler and Dick Powell. The greatest number of songs in this group belongs to the 1930s. The section ends in the 1940s and 1950s with Frank Sinatra, Dinah Shore, Eddie Fisher, Judy Garland and Tony Martin.
