The Save Our Songs contest calls on all musicians to create new performances of historical songs from the Levy Collection. Record a video of yourself playing any song from the collection, and you could win up to $250 through our partner, Sheet Music Plus.
How to Enter
- Choose a song from the Levy Collection, either by visiting the Levy Collection website or browsing the collection on Sheet Music Plus. You can perform any song, but we encourage you to think about performing rare or obscure songs where no other recordings exist. A portion of sales from Sheet Music Plus help fund preservation of the collection.
- Make a recording of yourself performing the song. You can use a webcam, smartphone, or any other recording device. You can perform however you like; play your instrument of choice, sing, or make your own creative interpretation of the song.
- Upload the recording to Youtube
- Submit your entry information on the form below
Entries must be submitted by midnight PST on December 31, 2017.

Judging will be performed by Gado Images and the Sheet Music Plus team. Entries will be judged based on Musical Quality, Performance, and Creativity. Production quality of your recording is not a factor; we want entries from musicians in all formats, and even a simple smartphone recording is fine!
All entries will also have a chance to be featured on the Levy Collection website, as well as on Sheet Music Plus. Musicians entering the contest will also be considered for future paid gigs recording songs from the collection.
